For thousands of years the Berber women of Morocco have made these clay ceramics, shaped by hand and cooked by fire. The patterns on each pot symbolise the specific tribe in which the women hail from. Unfortunately, this incredible art is dying out. This ancient technique is not being passed on to the younger generation as it's no longer seen as a valued skill. The profits from these ceramics go straight to the women themselves and give the village women a degree of financial freedom.
